| In addition to offering a variety of summer
Saltwater flyfishing opportunities,
Steve specializes in
fall sight fishing and beach casting for wild coho.
In my experience, there is nothing more exciting
than a bright, wild, powerful coho salmon surging at
the end of your line, on a tiny #10 streamer. When
the fish are hitting, the action is fast and
furious! Steve knows where to find the schools of
staging salmon, what flies to use, and how to
present them. I have fished with him two consecutive
years, and look forward to many more. In addition to
being an excellent guide, he is a genuinely nice
guy, and a delight to spend some time with. He knows
when to offer helpful advice, and when to stay quiet
and let you figure things out for yourself. Over the
years I have fished with about ten guides, in the
lower 48, Alaska, and BC, and my time with Steve has
been the mos! t enjoyable and productive. He is
definitely #1 in my book. |
