Westcoast Nootka Island Adventure Package
The west coast of Vancouver Island is often referred
to as the "Birthplace of British Columbia". This
region was inhabited by First Nations peoples for
c enturies before European explorers discovered Nootka
sound in the 1700's. Names such as Valdez, Bligh and
James Cook bring visions of shipwrecks and battles at
sea.
Following a 2 hour scenic drive from Campbell
River you will board our coastguard approved 26 ft.
Zodiac in the village of Tahsis. This fully guided 5
hour trip will take you through waters travelled by
tall ships and native canoes over a century ago.
Esperanza Inlet is a prime viewing location for large
numbers of sea otters, black bears, bald eagles and
humpback whales. Remnants of the past still exist in
the old cannery sites at C.P.C. and Nootka Sound. At
Friendly Cove, the site of Yuquot village and where
James Cook first landed, you will be welcomed ashore
to peruse this First Nations cultural site.

Package includes accomodation, meals at lodge, 2
days (approx. 5 hrs each) guided zodiac tours, use of
all lodge facilities and First Nation Landing fees.
